Patient Participation Group

The Aims of the Patient Participation Group

Our PPG is an informal group at present made up of 5 patients and a staff member. We meet approximately every two months but this is flexible!

Our purpose:

  • to be informed and have a voice regarding the changes and events taking place in the practice
  • to have an opportunity to share ideas and suggestions directly with a member of staff in a positive environment
  • to be  kept up to date with the practice via guest speakers i.e. Carers Federation, Learning Disabilities Team, GPs in the practice and Admin staff to mention but a few!

What the PPG cannot be:

  •  a platform for individual complaints
  •  a platform to discuss individual health concerns
  •  a negative environment

Commitment:

  • As much or a little as you like

Our aim:

  • To meet at least quarterly.
  • To have a group of people who we can make contact with when a patients perspective is required (via questionnaire, virtually or face to face)
